Source Priority Order
- Primary documents: official writings, letters, sermons, canonization acts, and Vatican records.
- Reliable scholarly editions and recognized critical biographies.
- Credible institutional archives and order-level historical records.
- Secondary compilations and devotional summaries, clearly labeled when used.
Verification Workflow
- Identify the exact statement used on page.
- Confirm attribution and date context.
- Confirm wording against a stronger source when available.
- Add or refine source note in page-standard format.
- Log meaningful changes on the Change Log.
Confidence Labels
- High: primary-source wording or direct official record.
- Medium: supported by strong secondary references.
- Review Needed: attribution or wording still being reconciled.
Translation Notes
- When quotes are translated, the source language and translation context should be indicated when possible.
- If wording is smoothed for readability, preserve meaning and avoid theological drift.
Common Verification Triggers
- Century mismatch between dates and page placement.
- Anchor mismatch across chronological and alphabetical pages.
- Inconsistent role labels across pages.
- Text fragments that appear truncated in sidebar rotators.
